I have one other suggestion that might work. Copy the world file onto your computer and go into that world in your solo player Minecraft. Check if the nether works there. If it does work there then you can restart the server and copy the solo world file into Aternos and run the working file. 1.
I have tried about fifty different configurations, but only two of those have lit, and in both cases I got lost in the nether and had to build a return portal, which wouldn't light. I've tried building a bridge of wood from lava to the portal, but that didn't work either.
This is because portals are not actually linked. When you enter a portal, the game calculates where you should come out and checks for a nearby portal. If it does not find one, it will create a new one. This may not always be in the right location. If it can't create a portal, due to obstructions, it will create one somewhere else.
I think whatever nether coordinates you have for the portal, multiply it by 8, and that should be the same distance from 0 since 1 block in the nether is 8 in the overworld. MeDoMiHD • 2 yr. ago. True, I did that exactly, but because of the big Y-level difference, both portals will link to the higher portal in the overworld, since my portals
Then, run these two commands on a clock in this order to clear nether portals around the player who just used a flint and steel: /execute @a [score_usedFaS_min=1] ~ ~ ~ /fill ~-6 ~-6 ~-6 ~6 ~6 ~6 air 0 replace portal /scoreboard players set @a [score_usedFaS_min=1] usedFaS 0. Note that this will replace any portals nearby, so you should have
Easy steps: Get coordinates of new overworld portal and divide by eight. Go in nether and build new portal at those coords. Dont forgot negatives. Close old nether portal, do not totally destroy it though. Go through new nether portal and close, relight, and go through new overworld portal. Go relight old nether portal and then repeat last step
You’re playing on Bedrock edition. it may be that you are playing on a server with the nether turned off purposefully, but then usually the portal doesnt light at all. check if you have a parrot on your shoulder and if you have then make the parrot dismount before you jump through.
Back in 1.0 nether portals were changed so that they couldn't be broken by flowing liquid anymore. Which I think may have been a bug. There aren't any benefits of having portals not being broken by flowing liquid. There's also another creative way to break a nether portal that should be added. Currently, nether portal blocks can't be pushed.
7.4M subscribers in the Minecraft community. Minecraft community on reddit. not related but instead of using flint and steel (or fire charges) to light the portal, use lava burning crafting tables (they catch fire but don't burn away). use observers to quickly update the lava causing it to flow faster. then use a dispenser w/ water to turn off the portal
So every time i go into the nether i come back through my portal and im like 200 blocks away its the same portal. ps: im on bedrock edition. This thread is archived. New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast. 2. 0.
Players can create custom two-way portals by building two portal frames made of this new block type and activating them with a flint & steel. The portal's rotation and scale will even transform to
I am in the nether. Portals are lit and are not near each other. We just added a new portal that allowed me into the nether, but now none of them will allow me back to the overworld. I have tried 3 different portals and none of them work. I have logged out and logged back in. We only have 4-5 portals in the nether that are quite spread out.
Removing Bedrock Nether Portal Linking. The linked nether-portals in Minecraft Bedrock edition are extremely annoying. We can’t make nether highways, which are a large part of an advanced survival game, and in competitive multiplayer games you can just walk into other people’s bases. (Usually the most advanced player too, since the first
A Nether Portal is a manufactured structure made by obsidian that allows a player to travel between the Overworld and the Nether. They were added to Minecraft as a part of the Halloween Update (version 1.2.0) on October 31st, 2010. A Nether Portal consists of a rectangular frame (4×5 [10 blocks] minimum, 23×23 [88 blocks] maximum) of obsidian. The four corner blocks of the frame are not
